The Fundació Antoni Tàpies presents a selection of works from the bottom of the collection. The exhibition begins with pieces of the biennium 1948-1949 of the surrealist period Tàpies with references to Miró, Klee and Ernest. The exhibition also features a selection of works matéricas characteristic of his mature period, and where the materials provide a dense and opaque surfaces. You can also see a performance of works that incorporate the object and others in the eighties in which the main character is the varnish. La muestra se inicia con piezas del bienio 1948-1949 del periodo surrealista de Tàpies con referencias a Miró, Ernest y Klee. Además, la exposición cuenta con una selección de obras matéricas, características de su periodo de madurez, y en las que los materiales otorgan unas superficies densas y opacas. También se puede ver una representación de obras que incorporan el objeto y otras de la década de los ochenta en la que el protagonista principal es el barniz. Por último, la muestra incluye un cuadro de 1990, Sinuoso de barniz sobre negro, 1983, en el que se observa el interés de Tàpies por el aspecto conceptual de la pintura como medio. – See more at:
